Caribbean holidays are on the rise, my Grenada holiday was great!

I had enough of constantly working, it was time for me to do something for myself and go on a nice holiday somewhere. I had been to St Lucia on holiday a few years ago and had a great time, but decided that a new destination would be an enjoyable experience as well. Although I didn’t want to go to St Lucia I did want to stay in the Caribbean, so some research ensued. After reading up on a quaint little island called Grenada my mind was made up.
I hadn’t heard much about Grenada holidays, but I was still looking forward to it. I landed in Maurice Bishop International Airport and was greeted with some nutmeg and ginger. Something that i didn’t know about Grenada was that its main exports were spices, so it earned the name “Spice Isle”. This inspired me to go and check out some of the crop fields and farms. Before that I wanted to see my hotel and the beaches. I couldn’t believe how amazing the hotel was that i had booked, the Calabash hotel. The pool is connected to the sea and the water is as clear as a blue sheet of glass, this makes it look stunning. Tourism is Grenada’s biggest money spinner and because of this they literally treat their guests like royalty, I was pampered every day that I was there.
I headed out to one of the Chocolate factories; I just had to visit one. They provided a great tour of the factory and even supplied a little free just made chocolate at the end. The Calabash hotel also offers a variety of activities, one of which is the scuba diving centre. Of course, i signed myself up what an experience. We explored a small part of the ocean, I saw many different types of fish, I can’t remember their names, but I can remember the colours, reds and purples everywhere.
This was a great holiday and if anyone is considering a holiday to the Caribbean, then try either St Lucia holidays or Grenada holidays. If you don’t fancy something like this, the only other one I can recommend is Egypt holidays.
